# Settings

> Choose the portal's appearance, when you are signed out when idle, and the language.

Settings decide how the portal works **for you**. Your name, email and
password are not here — they belong to your Incabus account, which you
manage under **Account management** in the account menu.

Open Settings from the account menu (your initials at the top right).
Changes apply straight away; there is nothing to save. Close the page with
the cross to go back to where you were.

## Theme

| **System** | Follow your device. If your computer switches to dark in the evening, so does the portal. |
| **Light** | Always light. |
| **Dark** | Always dark. |

The theme is saved **in this browser**, so it does not follow you to another
device — a laptop in a dark room and a desktop by a window may want
different answers.

## Sign me out when idle

How long the portal waits before signing you out when you are not using it:
30 minutes, 1 hour, or 2, 4, 8 or 12 hours. It is **two hours** unless you
choose otherwise.

- The time is counted from **when you last did something**, not from when
  you signed in. While you work, you stay signed in.
- You can choose a shorter time than the portal allows, never a longer one.
  Choices above the portal's limit are not shown.
- The choice is saved on **your account**, so it applies on every device.

A short time is safer on a shared or portable computer. A longer time suits
a computer only you use.

## Language

**Swedish** or **English**. The choice is saved on your account and follows
you to every device. It also decides the language of the sign-in page the
next time you sign in on this device.
