Notifications
What is waiting for you, and a history of what has been.
Notifications tell you when something in the portal needs your attention. You find them behind the bell in the header, and in full on this page.
The bell
A red number on the bell shows how many things are waiting. Click it to see them; click a line to go straight there. Show all notifications opens this page.
The bell keeps itself up to date: it checks every minute while the portal is open, and as soon as you come back to the tab.
What creates a notification
Two things, per company:
- Quotes to review — a quote from us is waiting for approval. You only get these if your role allows you to approve (admin or owner).
- New time reports — we have reported work since you last opened that company’s time reports.
Unread means “still waiting”
A notification stays unread until the matter is dealt with — the quote is approved (or expires), or you have opened the time reports. Looking at this page does not mark anything as read, and there is no “mark all as read”: the point is that the list shows what still needs doing.
Unread notifications are shown in bold with a red dot. Handled ones are greyed out and stay in the list as history, with the company and the date and time, so you can find something again later. The latest 100 are kept.
When there is nothing, the page says You have no notifications.
