Activate Backup

Activate Backup for your company — the user name, the contact address, the password and the modules that cost extra.

When you activate Backup, your company gets a backup account: one user name that all your servers sign in with, in the backup client and at backup.incabus.com. Each server then gets its own job on the account.

Requires the administrator or owner role. Others see a line saying who can activate it.

Open the page with Activate Backup on the overview, when your company does not have Backup yet.

Activate Backup

Fill in

  • User name — not chosen, but built from your customer number and company name, such as cb4632-exempelbolaget.
  • Contact email — backup reports and notices from the backup service are sent here. Your own address is suggested; you may prefer a shared IT address.
  • Password — Create one for me, or Choose a password and type it twice (at least 12 characters).

Modules that cost extra

The standard modules are turned on — they are listed in the Included card. Modules that cost per unit are turned on in the Modules that cost extra box:

  • VMware, Hyper-V, Exchange, mailboxes and Microsoft 365, mail and OneDrive — tick and set a cap, for example the most virtual machines that may be backed up. You pay per unit actually backed up, not for the cap.
  • Synology NAS and QNAP NAS — a fixed price per month.

The price is shown with each module.

Activate

Choose Activate Backup and confirm in the box that opens. Storage is invoiced every month from now on.

If we created the password, it is shown once, right after, together with the user name and buttons that copy them. Save the password then — it is not shown again, and we cannot see it either.
